This is the dollar image I am going to input.

I inputted an image_map “image_map{ jpeg “dollar3.jpg” map_type 1 interpolate 0 once} translate <0,2,0> scale <1,0,0>” into the tileset for the black part and added an effect to make it look like it was a sprial from the centre of the board.

To complete the board I went back over the white tiles and added the jade texture.

This was the final result for the board.

I added a Sandalwood texture and a small green base at the bottom of the piece to act as the cushion between the piece and the board, similar to that used with most chess boards.

From the base I was able to create the pieces. I created a pawn, bishop, rook and a knight. I positioned them similar to the original image, (adding the knight).

I added a box object for this.

To make the frame look better I imported a roundedbox macro into my code and redeclared the box as a roundedbox, seeing as the original image had a more rounded frame.

For the checkered chess board I declared tiles{ and tile2{ within the texture in order to edit the squares in two sets. The white had wrinkles added to give a marble effect which would be changed at a later stage to add the green effect and the other was set as black for the time being as an image map would later be added to these squares.
